Chicago - September
Bobby and I spent 4 days in Chicago in September to celebrate our 5th Anniversary (a little late). We had a great time seeing the sights and spending some much needed down time together. We took an architechtural tour down the river, saw the Field Museum of Natural History, the Art Museum, a Cubs game, shopped, and ate lots of good food.
Cubs Game - September 18th
The pictures loaded in reverse order, oops. We went to a Cubs game while we were in Chicago and had a great time! It was so much fun to go to Wrigley Field. The game went into extra innings and the Cubs won! The entire croud stayed and sangs about their "Cubies" for a long time after game was over. Lots of fun!

Sunday Morning
Charlie loves to play on our bed while we get ready in the mornings. We think he's pretty darn cute! Sunday mornings are crazy and he just watches us run around getting ready and thinks we're really entertaining.
Favorite New Toys
Charlie's new favorite toys are kitchen utensils and anything that mom or dad have. He spent almost an entire day playing with an ice cream scoop and potato masher.
Bible Stories with Dad
Charlie loves to be read to. When I took this picture he and dad were reading Bible stories before bed time. I love watching him look so intently at the pages. I really love watching Charlie and Bobby together!

Labor Day Weekend at the Lake
We spent Labor Day weekend at the lake with all of Bobby's family and Kelly's in-laws, Walter and Catherine Davis. It was a blast to have everyone there. We skied, played cards, played cornhole, played with the babies, ate way too much food, went for walks, fished, slept, watched football, and had a wonderful time. Thanks to Dinah for all her hard work! I think we all put on at least 5 pounds.
Charlie's Baptism - August 24th
Charlie was baptised August 24th. Almost all of our immediate family was able to be there, as well as my cousin Melissa from Denver, my cousin Sarah and her family from Montgomery, and our good friends Patrick and Emily Holcombe. It was so special to have so many people we loved there to participate. What a blessing to have so many people commited to loving him and pointing him to Christ! Thank you all so much for being there to stand with us.

Jason's Ranger Graduation
This is the first time Jason met Charlie. He had to wait a long time to see his first nephew!
My brother, Jason, graduated from RIP (Ranger Indoctrination Program) on August 22nd at Fort Benning, GA. We were able to be there to celebrate with him and are so proud of all he's done (it is a BIG deal to make it through the program... about 70% drop out or get cut). He graduated at the top of his class from basic training, airborne school, and RIP. Apparently, he's the most physically fit guy around since he got the PT (physical training) award in 2 out of 3 of his programs. He is headed out to Fort Lewis, Washington where he'll be stationed for the next 4 years. He will be deployed some time after Christmas, so please pray for his safety and his ministry to the guys around him in the coming months and years.

Rosemary Beach - August 16-22
We were able to enjoy a week at the beach with the Driskell's this summer. The weather was beautiful. We got to relax, enjoy the pool and the beach, eat great seafood, ride bikes, and get some much needed sleep. It was a great trip!
