Going home!

Ellie came home in the same dress that I came home from the hospital in. Thankfully, my mom saved most of my dresses, so we get to use them again.

Just after arriving home... what a cutie!

Chalire got some finger pupets and passed them out to everyone in the room to play with.

Uncle Eric drove up for the delivery and got to see little Ellie just after she was born.

She looks a lot like her big brother in some of these pics...

I am not sure how to get more pics on one post so this is all chopped up. Sorry

More of delivery day...

Charlie loved his gift from Ellie... what a thoughful newborn :)
Charlie had adored his little sister since day one and continues to be so sweet to her. He calls her "my baby" and introduces her to everyone he sees... even strangers at the grocery store. He is so proud! Every time she cries he comes running through the house screaming "help, my baby is crying!" He gets very concerned when she is upset and talks so sweetly to her.... tells her "Its gonna be OK. Don't cry."

Charlie loves his Uncle Eric!

In the recovery room just after they brought Ellie back... getting to hold her for the first time!

January 13th, 2011

I started off the day with a routine OB visit and US to check my amniotic fluid. My fluid was extremely low. So, my doctor scheduled a C-section for that afternoon...
Pre-baby pics in the hospital.
Ellie just after her arrival. She had to go to the transition nursery for a little while to work on her breathing but otherwise was perfect!

News from Mount Rainier

I spent 12 days out in Washington this month and climbed Mount Rainier with my dad, 2 of my brothers, my cousin, and one of my brother's friends..... This was the big news from the trip!

Melissa and I are due one week apart... which is fun, since we are one week apart in age and have been best friends since we were little!

Texas

We tried several times for good family photo and this is as good as it got. Charlie was not in a great moood at this point.
I love the fact that it looks like a deer head is the tree topper. Only in Texas....

Charlie held on for at least 8 seconds.

My Uncle Terry raised quail on his ranch. So every year we go out there he has several hunts for anyone interested. Here is my husband, two of my brothers and a cousin looking like retards and criminals. Not sure who decided to hand them a gun!

My hunky husband out for a hunt.

Charlie is looking a little concerned about what dad is holding....

He is officially not excited about it!

The Airport

Charlie was so excited to go to the airport and get on a plane. He has flown before but can't remember. Here is telling us something that I'm sure was very important about the plane outside the window.

He kept a close eye on the plane the entire time and was so excited when got to board and take off. He thought it was a great adventure.

Christmas 2009

I am aware that Christmas was 5 months ago, but unfortunately this is the rate at which I update our blog. So here is a little recap.... Charlie got a really fun tractor from Dink and Papa Rod which he loved!

Dad gave him a tool box full of "real" tools that were just his size.... he is obsessed with tools.

And, Mimi and Pops sent him a bear that is now affectionately known as "teddy bear" and loved on daily.

The hat was a stocking stuffer and was also a hit. After opening gifts we packed up and headed to the airport to fly to Texas to spend the rest of Christmas with the Ireland side of the family. More to come...
